Leading telecom services provider Airtel
Nigeria has commissioned the first of several
model Express Shops to enhance customer
service delivery experience in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
The opening of the model shop, which came
barely some days after the official
commencement of Mobile Number Portability,
indicates Airtel’s readiness to take customer
service experience to a standard that is
comparable to global standards.
The latest Express Shop, which brings the total
number of Airtel direct customer touch points to
100 across the country, will provide customers
access to excellent customer experience and an
array of products and services they need to stay connected including phones, SIM cards, SIM Porting, SIM Swap, bill payment, airtime top-up cards, query resolution, other accessories and general enquiries.
Commissioning the ultra-modern shop, the
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Airtel, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya, remarked that the opening of the Express Shop in Abuja underlines Airtel Nigeria’s commitment to providing first class service experience to customers in the unfolding promise of the newly introduced Mobile Number Portability.
According to Ogunsanya, the commissioning of
the Express Shop in Abuja is part of a drive to
ensure that customers get the same first class
experience in all Airtel outlets across the country both in company run outlets as well as those run by Channel Partners.
Said he: “we pleased with this opportunity to
bring closer the Airtel experience and our unique value offerings to the door steps of our
customers to experience unbeatable service that will optimize our rich range of unique offerings and services in data, voice, bill payment, query resolution and general enquiries.”
Also speaking at the ceremony, the Managing
Director of Zeph Associates, Airtel trade partners who collaborated with the company on the Express Shop, Mr. Tochukwu Nwosu affirmed the resolve of his firm to provide outstanding customer experience at the Express Shop in line with the brand values of Airtel.

nationwide spread covering over 200 cities and
towns including the Federal Capital Territory,
Airtel Nigeria has consistently won awards for

regulator Nigeria Communications Commission
and various bodies including the media and
other stakeholders monitoring the sector.
Only recently, both Abuja-based Leadership
newspaper and Lagos-based City People named
Airtel Nigeria the best telecom company of the
year. Airtel also emerged the best network in a
performance audit by the Nigeria
Communications Commission emerging with the
best performance on all four indices.
